Description

Prestige, near new 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath Holiday House, fully-equipped kitchen and open plan dining & living room. Situated on a hill with stunning, expansive views over George's Bay, the town of St Helen's & surrounding mountains. House located on 100 acres of pristine farm and bush land with a menagerie of pet animals including emus, kangaroos, white deer and peacocks. Bounded by 2.6 km of the pristine George's River, with private sandy beaches and water holes for swimming.
By day, relax on our completely private sandy beaches and refresh with a cool dip. You may spot one of our local platypus. Hand feed our resident kangaroos, emu, white deer and other feathered friends. After dark, grab a torch and explore the property when possums, wallabies and owls are most active. The George River offers some of the best trout, blackfish and bream fishing in Tasmania. Why not try your hand at fishing on our own private and secluded part of the river.
We are the perfect launching pad for exploring some of Tasmania’s beautiful East Coast heritage areas such as The Bay of Fires, Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula, the East Coast wineries, extensive hiking trails, waterfalls and the world-famous mountain biking tracks around St Helen’s and Derby. George’s Bay is known as the deep-sea fishing capital of Tasmania. Try an ocean charter or visit one of the local George’s Bay oyster farms or seafood restaurants.

Your hosts, Hugh and Celin, are keen travelers themselves and are passionate about helping guests make the most of their visit to this beautiful part of the world. Whether it is giving recommendations on what to see and do or sharing best kept local secrets, your hosts take a personal interest in every guest. Celin speaks Chinese, Japanese, English and a number of European languages, so is well equipped to assist our Chinese, Japanese and European friends!

George River Park is situated in an area of stunning natural beauty. Nestled between the tranquility and charm of George’s Bay, only 8 kilometers from the breathtaking shores of The Bay of Fires and less than an hour’s drive from the world famous mountain biking tracks of Derby, this property offers the nature lover access to an extremely wide range of activities and experiences.

Other things to note:
Please note that while you have completely private and exclusive access to the main 3-bedroom house, the property also has a self-contained one bedroom unit that is separated from the main house by a locked garage. This unit has a separate entrance, is separated from the main house and may be occupied from time-to-time (no children). The main driveway to the house is shared. Otherwise, the unit has its own separate and private facilities.
