Description
Whether you are looking to get away from it all or wanting to make lifelong family memories, Echo Base on Echo Lake in the quaint Village of Wolverine has what you are looking for! Located in Northern Michigan about 35 minutes south of Mackinaw City and 20 minutes north of Gaylord, Wolverine offers guests a convenient location with a rural picturesque setting!
Guests will enjoy two wooded lots to explore at Echo Base! (Parcels are pictured in the slide show. Less than a 3 minute walk from the front door to the lakeshore!) The cottage is located one lot southwest of our lake front lot and features all the pleasures of home! This raised one-level, all-season property has an open floorplan with warm woodwork and lots of natural sunlight! The home sleeps six guests comfortably between the two guest rooms and has one full bathroom and a half bathroom located in the bunkroom, plus a sleeper sofa! Guests will find a plentiful stock of linens, towels, and your basic kitchen supplies. There is not a washer or dryer at the property, so please be sure to pack a little extra for extended stays.
Designed with the simpler things in minds and the intention to unplug, this home does not feature a television, but does have a nice selection of books and good WIFI! (Cell service is limited in the area, so guests will need to connect to the WIFI to make calls.)
Just a skip of a stone away, guests will enjoy the short walk down Echo Trail to the lake frontage which is the perfect spot for some shoreline fishing or an evening fire! Two kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided seasonally as well!
This all-season cottage is not just ideal for summer adventures, its perfect for the spring mushroom hunters, fall color tourists, and winter sports enthusiast too! All within one hour you can… collect Petoskey stones in Petoskey, catch a ferry to Mackinaw Island, play a round at Indian Golf Course, hit the moguls at Boyne Mountain, ride ten of the best Mountain Biking Trails in the US, snowmobile in Indian River, tag a trophy buck, and raft down the Sturgeon River! Come unplug from “ground control” and find your Up North adventure at Echo Base!
