Gibson Cottage was built by one of Nelson's first settlers, John Gibson in 1843. It has been beautifully restored and is a very comfortable and wonderful place to stay for up to 6 guests. It is private but close to neighbourhood amenities of an excellent coffee shop, dairy, acclaimed Nelson's waterfront restaurants and Nelson's best fish and chip shop. It is also less than 2 minutes walk to Blackmore Cottage if you have friends or relations staying there. A 10 minute flat walk to central Nelson or the Trafalgar Centre or the Boat House.

10 minutes flat walk to Nelson's famous Saturday markets, easy walk to yacht club and marina. On the Nelson cycle trail and a bus stop less than 100 metres away. We can provide safe lockable bike storage.
Children aged 6 and over welcome.
All guests are provided with a full breakfast basket as well as teas and coffees, soap and soap powder.

No smoking indoors, no pets and not recommended for children under 6 years of age (but do enquire) and non wheelchair access.
Does have a sloping path that requires walking up from the footpath to the cottage.
