Description

Dima's house, located in the heart of Lunigiana, is the family home, just renovated with attention to detail and careful research of details. The structure with a large terrace overlooking the Apennines, in particular the Apuan Alps and the garden that surrounds it, gives guests the opportunity to eat outside and rest in the outdoor lounge. The large bedrooms and the double living room allow a holiday in complete freedom even for large families.
Completely
fenced, with two entrances one for guests and the other for cars, Dima's house also has a large rear garden, which reserves privacy that allows guests staying there to relax completely and children to play in total safety. The silence of the countryside is interrupted only by the tolling of the bell of the village church. The house has a large living room with two relaxation areas: pink TV lounge and dove-gray living room in front of the livable kitchen equipped with all comforts, a small terrace for outdoor breakfasts. The three bedrooms have double beds and one also has a pull-out bunk bed , two bathrooms, one with tub, the other with shower. Dima's house was born in an area rich in history of magic ... Lunigiana also called Terra dei Cento Castelli, but it would be equally correct to call it Terra dei Cento Paesaggi; from the mountains to the sea, luxuriant woods, white marble quarries and a riviera to discover, trekking and mountaineering routes, climbs and descents that invite to cycling, paths along the ancient routes of pilgrims and resistance: it is the Lunigiana, borderland between Tuscany, Liguria and Emilia Romagna. Small villages that seem carved in sandstone; strict guardians on the tops of the hills; small villages overlooking the sea, with colorful huts as the Ligurians like; countries that over the centuries have sought emancipation from medieval gray opening up to the taste of Renaissance Florence and the Baroque.

These are the many faces of the villages of Lunigiana, the true and pulsating heart of the history and culture of this land.

Scattered villages where you can meet a donkey that you don't know where it comes from but is in excellent shape - look for it in Quarazzana - where the Touring Club has planted its Orange Flag, where the streets are named after the Italian publishers - in Montereggio, the only book town Italian - where the narrator of the beyond - Dante Alighieri - meets the explorer of the new worlds Alessandro Malaspina, where the houses are towers - Ponticello - where the Belgians have arrived and have never left - Tresana - where there they are fireplaces - in Sassalbo - where when it comes to soprano nobody thinks of Callas but of testaroli - Pontremoli - where castles seem romantic scenes of horror films, where the earth has returned dozens of Stele Statues - like Filetto - where walking means meet elders who sit in front of the front door, where a young man decided to save the tradition of chestnut bread - in Regnano - where there was so much poverty that even women left for looking for work in the north - in Bagnone - where the exotic tradition of an ancient elixir continues - in Fivizzano - where only houses escaped the Nazi massacre - Vinca - and where despite everything there are those who rediscover Lunigiana as a place of rebirth and of restart, where some return to live and others to work, attracted by the authentic taste of life and country relations. During
in summer the region relives the ancient splendor with various events, flag wavers, medieval costume parties, fairs, markets, festivals, and storytellers to tell its story and leave the tourist staying there a strange magic ..... and the impression of living in a place without principles and enchantment to appear!
