On the outskirts of the famous village of Lakithra, in the Livathos region of Kefalonia, privately owned Villa Eleftheria offers a truly authentic experience of traditional Kefalonian living, combined with modern luxury. Its plot is partly bordered by conservation woodland, while the villa is built into the side of the hill giving it uninterrupted views over the valley of Krania down to the bay of Argostoli to the north-west, and over St George’s Castle and Mount Ainos beyond to the north-east.
Nature-lovers will enjoy the early song of the nearby cockerel and the sound of the sheep and goats bells, as well as walks around the hilly country lanes and footpaths around the villa.
Our prime vantage point also provides plenty of interest for keen bird-watchers.
This superb 243m² Villa, spanning over 3 floors, is divided in two independent accommodation spaces, each with its own expansive balconies and outside spaces.
On the upper ground floor and first floor, the Main Villa has 3 bedrooms, each with balcony, and 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms comprise one double master bedroom and two bedrooms each with two twin beds that can be flexibly arranged. A large open plan living/dining/kitchen area on the upper floor with al fresco covered terraces enjoys the stunning views over mount Ainos and Argostoli bay.
The living space is equipped with a television, board games, chess, backgammon and more are available to entertain your evenings.
You will find everything you need in the spacious fully equipped kitchen to prepare delicious meals or hire a private chef to cook for you.
A self-contained apartment on the lower ground floor, the Garden Suite, has a living space and 1 bedroom with three twin beds and ensuite bathroom. The living/kitchenette area opens out onto the stone courtyard, garden and pool area. A table and chairs, benches and sunshades provide additional amenities for outdoor living. Stair free access to the suite makes this the ideal space for people with reduced mobility.
Villa Eleftheria often accomodates large, multi-generational groups or several families for comfortable and enjoyable stays. A baby kit comprising cot and high chair are available upon request.
Villa Eleftheria is surrounded by its own extensive mature olive groves, encircling the walled landscaped areas of the herb and citrus gardens, complete with large feature patios surrounding the fantastic fully tiled private 8m x 5m infinity pool area with 2m x 2m aquatic bench and feature jaccuzzi.
There is also large private off-road parking and a main entertainment area, complete with Weber gas BBQ and Al Fresco dining/seating as well as a boules court and table tennis.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the fruits of the garden in season - oranges, lemons, grapefruit, bergamot, apricot, fig, pomegranate, grape, almond - and fresh herbs: rosemary, thyme, oregano, sage, chamomile…
The village of Lakithra is central to the island and the ideal base from which to explore our beautiful island paradise of Kefalonia. Less than 10 mins from the airport, 10 mins from Argostoli and 5 mins from the golden sandy beaches for which the coastline of Livathos is famous.
You will enjoy being able to walk into the village for an evening meal, a drink or for an ice cream, as well as to buy supplies from the bakery, patisserie, or local mini-market. The bakery, mini-market and local souvlaki shops will also deliver to the villa.
To enjoy Villa Eleftheria’s prime location on the island, a car is recommended to visit all that Kefalonia has to offer.
Our Property Manager Samantha is on hand for our guests during their stay. A generous welcome hamper is provided on arrival and the villa will be serviced with linen change during the stay.
