Surrounding the property are numerous charming restaurants, along with a variety of local delicacies, crafts and jewelry shops. The nearest supermarket (COOP) is approximately 2.8 miles away, just a 5-6 minute drive, while the closest restaurant is 2.5 miles from the property (5-min. drive). A fully equipped gym is reachable in under 10 minutes by car (less than 3 miles away), and the local tennis club, with clay courts, is less than a mile away, just a 2-minute drive. Lastly, the nearest golf course is located less than 15 miles away (approx. a 25-minute drive).
As the property is located just 17 miles (approximately 25-26 minutes by car) from the center of Florence, it is very easy and quick to reach all of the city's incredible treasures and attractions. Similarly, Siena is only 30 miles away, about a 45-minute drive.
Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (7 miles from the villa): Nestled between Florence and Siena in the lush hills of Chianti, this historic town is one of the most significant places in Tuscany. Over the centuries, it has maintained its natural beauty, surrounded by picturesque landscapes, while achieving a harmonious development that utilizes local resources wisely. Its rich heritage of unique scenery, architecture, art, and culture creates the perfect backdrop for a memorable holiday in Italy.
Florence (17 miles from the villa): This city lies along the banks of the Arno River and is renowned worldwide for its rich history and significance during both the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. As the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, Florence boasts numerous masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of its most iconic landmarks is the Duomo, a cathedral featuring a terracotta-tiled dome designed by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto. The Galleria dell'Accademia is home to Michelangelo’s famous “David” sculpture, while the Uffizi Gallery showcases masterpieces such as Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and da Vinci’s “Annunciation.”
Siena (30 miles from the villa): Nestled among olive groves and Chianti vineyards, Siena is one of the most stunning cities in Tuscany. Perched atop three hills, the city features a blend of broad avenues and narrow streets. At its heart lies Piazza del Campo, renowned worldwide for the "Palio," the historic horse race held twice a year on July 2nd and August 16th. Additional cultural landmarks include the magnificent Duomo and Santa Maria della Scala, both must-visit sites for tourists. Few places in the world can match the unique landscape that envelops Siena, making it a truly special destination.
San Gimignano (16 miles from the villa): This towered city is regarded as a jewel of medieval architecture in Italy and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. The ancient town, perched on a natural highland, is enclosed by impressive defensive walls and is distinguished by its numerous towers, which create a unique skyline. San Gimignano is notable for preserving its typical medieval elements, including the tall defensive towers built by aristocratic families, which have remained intact over the centuries. This preservation is a significant advantage for San Gimignano, as many other Italian cities have seen their walls destroyed or replaced by more modern constructions throughout history.
