***PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING!*** Perdido Key and the entire Purple Parrot Resort were hit by Hurricane Sally in September 2020. The area is still undergoing repairs, and some places are closed while under construction. Our home is still undergoing renovations (as of June 2021), and some things will look different than the pictures. We have all new carpet, tile, paint, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, etc. Updated pictures will be forthcoming. In the meantime, please note: 90% of construction is completed. **One BIG exception is the kitchen countertops. There is long delay on new countertops, due to supply issues, and contractors have placed an MDF particle board on the countertops as a temporary fix. We also are awaiting installation of the breakfast bar countertop. There are still large pods in the parking lot that are due to be removed any day. Please use caution when parking in the resort parking lot as there could be nails and construction debris. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are open and fully operational!

COVID19 Update: Given the ongoing situation with the coronavirus pandemic in the US, we will be following the CDC guidelines and have implemented new cleaning procedures to better protect our home and our guests. Between each stay, every towel, linen, and bedding item will be replaced with fresh, professionally laundered linens; in addition every surface, light switch, hand rail, and doorknob will be disinfected with a bleach based cleaning solution called. Please contact me if you have any questions about these extra steps. I’m the low season we try to give 24 hours between guests.

This Purple Parrot Village Resort Two Bedroom Villa has been stunningly decorated and has a lively Caribbean feel from the moment you step inside! The villa has a king bed with flat screened TV in the master bedroom, a queen bed and a twin bed in the newly updated second bedroom and both bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom to give the feel of two master suites. The condo has also been equipped with a secure high-speed wireless internet connection, a screened in deck on the lower level and open-air full deck on the upper level, as well as a small balcony accessible through the Queen bedroom. Both bedrooms have their own television with full access to cable.

The Key was discovered by the Spanish in the 15th century and literally translates as "Lost Island." Sixty-five percent of Perdido Key, Florida is protected from development by state and federal parks. The Purple Parrot Village Resort features Caribbean themed villas, a lagoon pool surrounded by palm trees, continuous waterfall cave and surrounds a bridge-accessible island hot tub. For rainy days, utilize the heated indoor pool, hot tub, gym, and saunas. The on-site Tiki Bar features nightly music and a delicious menu. Johnson Beach - part of the federal national seashore - is a short two minute drive from the Purple Parrot Village Resort, allowing access to some of the most magnificent white sand beaches in the world.
