The traditional manor house dates from the late 18th century and has many original features, such as marble floors and exposed stone walls, as well as high beamed ceilings.
Relax in one of the two salons with a perfect blend of antique and modern furnishings, or feast in the dining room with a roaring fire and antique grandfather clock, all with French doors leading out to the glorious gardens.

There are also many modern touches, especially since the house was renovated in recent years.
The kitchen has been completely renovated to please even the most ardent cooks, while the restful bedrooms feature wool carpets, Bluetooth speakers, and new en suite bathrooms.
We especially like the top-floor suite, which has a super king-size bed and a freestanding bath, as well as its own lounge with a Smart TV, kettle, mini-fridge, and views of the Dordogne river.

A French country cottage set within the gardens adds two additional bedrooms, a modern kitchen, and a light-filled living-dining room with an original Perigordian fireplace, the true heart of the home.
A vine-covered terrace is a lovely spot for breakfast with views of the lawns and fruit trees - there are plenty of figs, peaches, plums, apples, and pears to pick throughout the summer, or help yourself to eggs from the friendly chickens.

The two acres of mature grounds are stunning, with ancient trees, a wildflower terrace overlooking the Dordogne, and a picture-perfect swimming pool surrounded by climbing roses, jasmine, and lavender.
There are numerous locations for a quiet coffee or lively al-fresco meals, as well as an outdoor bar, games room, trampoline, and football goal.

Surrounded by forests, vineyards, and, of course, the river, take advantage of the manoir's bikes and follow the river road to the nearest village, shop, and café-bar, which is only 2 kilometers away.
A short cycle or drive away is historic Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, a picturesque bastide town on the banks of the Dordogne with one of the region's largest and best markets.
