Description

The charm of a typical Breton family home, ideally located close to all the attractions of Finistère!

On the village's central square, this former hardware store has been transformed into a 180 m² dwelling on a vast enclosed plot of land, beautifully flowered and facing S.W. for beautiful sunsets.

The house can easily accommodate 8 adults and 6 children. Spacious, welcoming and lovingly decorated, you'll soon feel right at home here and create some wonderful memories!

Located in the small village of Landudal, between Quimper (10 min) and Briec (5 min), the house is ideally situated for touring the whole of Finistère.

The house is right in the center of the village, between the 16th-century chapel of Saint Tugdual and the 16th-century church of Notre dame de Populo. The church was listed as a historic monument on March 04, 1935.

The village has a grocery and bread store, open 7/7. It's just a 1-minute walk from the house. For larger purchases, you can either have them delivered by the Intermarché store in Briec, a 5-minute drive away, or go directly there!

However, if you like to buy direct from local producers, then we recommend you head for Verger du Menez! A truly self-sufficient farm, producing fruit and vegetables, cattle and pigs, you'll also find a range of dairy products. Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons + Saturday mornings, 2 minutes by car.

Landudal is also on the GR 38 (Redon - Douarnenez section), so you can experience inland Brittany off the beaten track. Many other trails are accessible by day from the house.
Daredevils will love the nearby mountain bike trails, and horse lovers will appreciate the nearby riding stables.

Petanque players will enjoy playing on the church square!

Here are a few ideas for discoveries within 10 to 45 minutes of the house.

- The city of art and history, between land and sea, of Quimper (bustling Saturday morning market, the best Paris-Brest at Philomène's, a crêpe at the Halles couvertes, great cinema... )

- The white sandy beaches of Fouesnant, Mousterlin, Beg Meil... and the must-see town of Locronan (mystical bookshop, brunch at Odette's... )

- Douarnenez and its famous kouing aman, Sainte Marine and its tiny fishing port, Benodet and its designer addresses, as well as the fortified town of Concarneau (easy departures for the Glénan archipelago) or the painters' town of Pont-Aven. Nearby, the beaches of Port Manec'h and Anse de Rospico are magnificent!

- The Bigouden region at Pont-L'abbé, a town described by Maupassant as "the most Breton of all the towns in Breton Brittany"! Take in the sea spray at the Pointe de Penmarch or the Pointe de la Torche (famous surf spot) at the Eckmühl lighthouse!
The Guilvinec fish market (1st artisanal fishing port in France), the Hénaff factory and the Kerné cider factory are all great places to enjoy a good meal!

- Head for Brest, city of sailors! Children will love Oceanopolis.
Then on to the wild Abers, the Pointe Saint Mathieu and the bucolic port of Le Conquet.

From simple crêperies to Michelin-starred restaurants, flea markets, festnoz, wild creeks and maybe even a few underwater hunting spots... Don't hesitate to ask us, we're happy to share our tips and good addresses!
