Description

The house in village Muo dates from the 18th century and has 12 gun ports that had been used for deterring invaders from pillaging what was and remains one of the largest stone houses on the bay of Kotor. It has been lovingly restored using traditional materials. Some of the original timbers were retained in the lower story and beneath sits a floor made of stone from the local quarry which provided the same pink limestone for St Marks Square. The result is a palatial house overlooking the same bay from which the merchant who built it derived his fortune. It has been furnished with quality pieces. The tables, the dining chairs, the sofa on the upper floor and the sofa set on the ground floor were all made by famous designers. The bathtub is set on the gallery outside the bathroom. The port of Kotor lies in the vicinity and there are many visitors of this interesting destination. Visit the old town of Kotor (4 km) that is a UNESCO cultural heritage site.
