With easy access to several of the region’s most captivating towns, this makes an excellent base from which to explore and enjoy a lesser known part of the Algarve.
From the gated entrance, pretty calçada encircles the grounds edged with Mediterranean shrubbery and attractive potted plants, while poolside shaded areas, an appealing outdoor dining area and a generously sized first floor sun terrace provide the right ingredients to enjoy outdoor living.
The interior is no less impressive; bright colours and comfortable furnishings combining effortlessly to create a warm and welcoming environment. An exceptionally well-equipped kitchen will delight foodies, while a spacious living and dining room offers superb entertainment facilities. There is one en suite bedroom conveniently located on the ground floor, the other bedrooms are found on the first floor, two of which have access to the fabulous sun terrace, an ideal spot to enjoy an evening aperitif.
Locally, fabulous beaches are in abundance, the closest being Altura beach (1km) and many with beachside restaurants serving delicious seafood. Within walking distance are also restaurants and services. Nearby, Vila Real do Santo Antonio (8km), and Tavira (18km) are well worth a visit; both charming and steeped in history. For bird watchers, the protected Reserva Natural do Sapal (7km), on the banks of the mighty Guadiana is a must, while a short hop across the border to the white washed town of Ayamonte (16km) is always a joy for flavoursome tapas.
