You will stay in absolute tranquillity in this tastefully restored mazet with its 55 sqm wooden terrace. The cosy cottage is located at the top of a historic stone village on the southern slope of the wooded ridge La Lance. From here you can hike on signposted trails up to the 1350 m high summit (5 km). The wooded hill behind your terrace offers beautiful views of the sunset valley of the Enclave des Papes, where lavender and wine thrive. In low season, a lovely wood-burning stove in the large living room spreads a pleasant warmth.
The Drôme Provençale region, which has largely been spared the tourist crowds of the southern French coastal regions, is an insider's tip for anyone looking for a special ambience in magnificent nature. Characterised by lavender and olive cultivation, evergreen forests, rugged rock formations and gorges, this area is ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In the sleepy village of Le Pègue, which in Roman times was on a trade route from Marseille to Lyon, excavations have unearthed finds of Greek pottery, which you can now discover in the local museum.
