Beautiful lake front cottage!! Have a joyous summer vacation on a pristine New Hampshire lake, scenic country and private, 1200 feet of shoreline and 7 acres of open fields and woodsy areas. Sleeps 4.
Columbia Cottage can be your relaxing vacation retreat. Windows galore for natural light and beautiful views. Large kitchen and living room. Queen master bedroom and a den that can be converted to a second bedroom. The kitchen is equipped for quick meals or gourmet dinners.
Gas grill and picnic table are right outside the door. Lounge on the covered porch with morning coffee and savor the lake and mountain v
How about a day at the lake. Sandy beach and gently sloping swim area. Step down to the beach and refresh with a morning dip. You’ll have use of kayaks, rowboats, a canoe and a sail boat.
How are you at ping pong, horseshoes, or badminton? Play tether ball, and bocce. Toss a football, have a game of catch, throw your dog a ball.
You are 35 minutes north of Dartmouth/Hanover, NH and it's wealth of cultural activities.
Your cottage shares the 7 acres with one other guest cottage, Colby, and the property manager's cottage. The 7 acres is named Sunset Ranch.
Restaurants, Groceries, Organic, & Farm Stands :
The region has many restaurants, from fast food to fine dining.
Peyton Place in Orford and Ariana's in Lyme for fine dining. Cross the bridge into Fairlee VT and you'll find Leda's Pizza, Fairlee Diner, and Whippi Dip. Colatina's in Bradford VT for Italian, Molly's Balloon, and Jesse's Steak Seafood & Tavern in Hanover.
For breakfast or lunch try the Fairlee Diner in Fairlee, VT or Plain Jane's in Rumney, NH.
For groceries, Wings in Fairlee, Hannafords and Super Wal-Mart in Plymouth, Hannaford's in Bradford, Shawnees in Wentworth. Three Co-Ops located in Hanover have excellent organic groceries. Local farm stands are in Orford, Fairlee, Bradford and many other Upper Valley towns.
Guests now provide their own sheets, pillows, blankets, towels and soap.
