Description

This is a pretty holiday home in the countryside, in the Gard, at the edge of Vaucluse and Ardeche. Semi-detached with the owners, it has a refreshing swimming pool above ground, very practical in this climate in the sometimes fiery sun in this part of the South. The land is very large, surrounded by vineyards, the interior is rustic and fresh, reminiscent of the Cévennes habitats, but very well equipped, with a beautiful modern bathroom and two pretty terrace opening onto the nature. Saint-Paulet-de-Caisson is a very small village near Pont-Saint-Esprit, pretty village overlooking the wild banks of the Rhone. A few kilometers away, discover St Martin d'Ardèche, at the gates of the sumptuous Gorges of the river, and unspoiled and preserved landscapes. The Gorges can be traveled by bike, car or canoe-kayak for a nice day of fun. Just opposite, 6km and overlooking the river, the village classified Aiguèze opens its cobbled streets lined with pretty facades, its church cafes in its small square shaded by plane trees. A walkway offers a magnificent panorama of the Ardèche. Various caves and avens punctuate the landscape, including the Aven d'Orgnac, with its majestic halls, the largest of which is 21m high and comes alive with a magic of colors and music, or that of St Marcel, only 20 minutes, with its cascading basins and strange concretions. Going up towards the north, you will find Bollène and its lock which figured for a long time among the highest of Europe, and of which you will be able to visit the extraordinary machinery, its Collegiate and its troglodyte village. At 50mn, do not miss Uzès, a tasty mix of medieval, Renaissance and classical styles, with its beautiful narrow streets and its 11th century Bermonde tower whose summit offers a wonderful panorama of the extraordinary heart of the city. At 40km, amaze you in front of the highest Roman aqueduct in the world, with the Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pont du Gard, built in the first century. Head towards Nîmes or Orange to discover beautiful Roman monuments also classified as UNESCO heritage, such as the Antique Theater or the Arc de Triomphe, the Arena and the Maison Carrée. Finally, Caution: the floor has no door, and a creek and an unsecured pond are on the ground (200m). The owner has no visibility on your rental.
