In Montignac, right in the heart of Périgord Noir, youll find Les Bastides de Lascaux. Montignac town has much to offer. Not only the nearby caves of Lascaux (the most lavishly-painted pre-historic caves), Villars and Cazelle, but also the many characteristic houses, and of course the fortress is typical. As well as very pleasant rambles, you can go canoeing on any of the many nearby rivers, or explore the district on horseback. Swimming is possible at nearby lakes. Culture-vultures will want to visit some of the castles such as Castelnaud, Marzac, Roucaudon, Losse or Fénélon. The little village of Bournat, the gardens of Marqueyssac and the aquarium of Périgord Noir are also well worth a visit. The Résidence is located 2 km from the centre of Montignac, and comprises interconnected holiday homes (country houses). The swimming pool is partly covered and is heated.
