Description

The quaint and colourful Villa Maravenne exudes the charm of a traditional Provencal home, yet recently refurbished, the interior is thoroughly modern and bright.

The spacious living area is complete with a perfectly chic, rustic decor, from neutral tones to soft lighting, with a large set of French doors opening onto the beautiful terrace beyond. There is a comfortable sofa in front of the large satellite TV, where you can enjoy a relaxing evening after a long day exploring the unbeatable surroundings. The living area opens out to the kitchen, an utterly modern, elaborately styled area with space for all the group to gather and help prepare a meal, with a large central island and plenty of surface space, alongside top-of-the-range appliances.

All three bedrooms are tastefully simple and decorated in a minimalist but elegant style. There are two twin rooms and one double master bedroom, the master room enjoying a dressing-room, private bathroom and access to the terrace with breath-taking views over the bay.

The sun-drenched garden is dreamlike. From the upper terrace you are treated with exquisite views over the million shades of green for which Provence is famous, and all the way to the sea – best enjoyed with a glass of wine at sunset from one of the super comfortable deck chairs. There is a large dining table perfect for an al fresco meal, and a relaxed seating area where you can also enjoy the views. Down the stone steps, the private pool is a lovely place to relax in the heat of the Provence sun and is also equipped with a solar shower and salt treatment to ensure the highest quality water at all times.

You could not be better located along this stunning southern edge of France, with the Valcros golf course only 1km away and the stunning La Londe les Maures sandy beach within a 15-minute drive. Take a shuttle to the Golden Islands to take a full beach day out and explore the famous beauty of the sandy islands.

The dazzling coastline of the French Riviera, with its luscious sandy beaches, dramatic rugged cliffs and glamourous coastal towns are within easy reach, and the sparkling crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea await you.
The exquisite fusion of Provencal villages, a vibrant coastline sprinkled with glamorous resorts and a totally unique interior landscape make this the ideal holiday spot.

You are 7km from the small town of La Londe-les-Maures where you will find a fine selection of restaurants, shops and a supermarket. On the coastline, there is long sandy beach where you will find watersports and boat trips can be taken to the Golden Islands (Porquerolles, Port Cros, Ile du Levant). Here you will also find several hiking trails and a lovely Provencal market selling all sorts of wonderful local produce.

Le Lavandou (15km) is another popular seaside resort with lots of activities plus an international yacht marina which also features fishing boats still bringing in their catch of the day which you can pick up at the fish market. You'll find lots of nightlife in the summer months when the town comes alive with casinos, bars and night clubs but if you're looking for a more laid back approach there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes.

Outdoor activities in this area include tennis, mini-golf, horse-riding, go-karting, polo and an outdoor cinema in the summer months.

Just one of the delightful Provencal villages of this region, Bormes-les-Mimosas (14km) is a little paradise situated on the edge of a hill, well-known for being beautifully decorated with colourful and sweet smelling flowers, picturesque stone walled houses and the tranquillity of village life.

Other Provencal villages include medieval Grimaud (40km) which stands out for its flower filled cobbled streets, ancient churches and stunning views, Gassin (40km), Ramatuelle (46km) and La Mole (26km), a paradise for walkers with some beautiful trails through the stunning countryside.

Just 18km away is the fabulous town of Hyeres, often considered to be the French Riviera's best kept secret and reportedly frequented by aristocracy since the 18th century.

For those in search of a little glitz, less than an hours' drive away is the endlessly fashionable Saint-Tropez, with its winding medieval streets lined with cafes, boutiques, restaurants and its coastline of luxury yachts, clubs and bistros, and also hosts charming markets each Tuesday and Saturday.

Activity lovers can discover some of the wonderful walking and cycling trails up in the Maures mountains or head even further for a spectacular day at the Gorges du Verdon (130km), the must see natural wonder of southern France where you can hire boats, canoes and kayaks.
