The house has all the features of a former farmhouse, a decorative fireplace, oak beams and exposed stone walls, plus some features not normally associated with this type of holiday property, for example larger than average bedrooms and a conservatory which is the full length of the house.The Charente and Charente Maritime have lots to offer in terms of interesting places to visit. Angoulême, the historic town of Cognac and the beautiful old roman town of Saintes are all within driving distance. A little further are the sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Painting or sculpting classes can be arranged with local artists. Shop, café/bar and restaurant 3km.
