Description

This modern, stylish 2-bedroom cottage will become an annual vacation destination for you! Relax on the deck, the dock or around the fire while you take in the serene sights and sounds of Northern Michigan wildlife. Say good morning to Frank and Jane (our local mallard duck couple) as they make their morning commute up the small Hiawatha Creek. Bring your boat and dock it at the house for quick access to Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire and all the Lower Chain of Lakes has to offer. The cottage is just 2.5 miles by land or water to The Dockside Torch Lake and a calm 30 minute cruise through the Grass River to Lake Bellaire.

At night enjoy a bonfire and grilling out, all under the beauty of a northern Michigan star-filled sky. Inside the house, the well-stocked kitchen, healthy collection of board games and 4K TV will keep everyone fed and entertained while the gas fireplace will keep everyone warm on those cool Up-North evenings. After an active day in the sun, curl up on the Tuft & Needle mattresses under premium linens while getting ready for another day on the lake.

Bellaire offers great destinations like Short’s Brewery, Glacial Hills (30 miles of hiking and biking) , access to the Antrim County Chain of Lakes, bike/kayak rentals, Shanty Creek Golf and Ski Resort, a bowling alley, a movie theater and so much more! The quaint village of Alden is also a few miles away and offers unique shops, a weekly (summer) farmers market and live outdoor music event. Traverse City is a quick 40 minute drive and offers access to world class dining, picturesque wineries and terrific breweries.

If you’re looking to balance all that great eating and drinking with some physical activity, the owner has curated a handful of active challenges for our visitors. We invite you to share your times in our record book and compete with guests who came before. Maybe you’ll set a record while enjoying your stay! A true Ip North gem with easy access to all Northern Michigan has to offer.! We look forward to hosting you!
