Description

This cosy holiday home is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and lakes. It is set in a small village overlooking Ingatorp, in Småland. With only 30 km to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby. The house is surrounded by a large, lovely garden with lawns and fruit trees, which you can pick from during the season. In the garden there is also a cute little guest house with two single beds, suitable if you e.g. has young people in the family who want to be a little for themselves. The main cottage is 90 square metres and features a small kitchen with the necessary amenities, plus a dishwasher and an old-fashioned pantry. Next to the kitchen, you'll find the cosy living room with a TV, a VHS-player, and plenty of children's films on VHS-tape. The cottage has WiFi connection. On the bottom floor, you will also find the spacious bathroom with a bath tub and a hand held shower. A new washer and dryer were installed in 2022. On the second floor, there's a hall and two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two single beds and a small fold-out bed for a child of up to four years of age. The nearest bathing spot is just 1.2 kilometres away. If you are looking for a bigger beach, the one by Spillhammar Camping in Mariannelund is great. By the camping there's a lovely hiking trail and you can also rent canoes there. Ingatorp has a lovely café called Valbackens Toppstuga, with a gorgeous view of the surroundings. In the summertime, it's usually open between 11.00-20.00. There are plenty of interesting attractions nearby. Vimmerby is only thirty kilometres away. The children will really enjoy Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby. Don't miss the elk park Skullaryd, where you can go on a tractor safari! Katthult and Bullerbyn, well known from Astrid Lindgren's beloved children's books, are also close. Or why not take a daytrip to Mariannelund and find out how sweets were made in the olden days? The Kingdom of Crystal, Glasriket, is another interesting destination. This is where the famous Kosta Boda glass is made. Västervik is also well worth a visit, offering shopping, beaches and many events. Welcome to wonderful Småland!
