Description

Standing in the shadow of Château de Benauge and overlooking the rolling hills full of vineyards, Meinguin de Benauge offers a unique getaway in the heart of the Bordeaux region of France.

The house is the 13th-century wine cellar of Château de Benauge that has been lovingly restored to provide unrivaled luxury standards in a beautiful location. There are six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a modern fully-equipped kitchen, a large living and dining room, a wine cellar, a multimedia room, and a veranda.

Throughout the house, there are large spaces where you can meet, eat and share your vacation. Likewise, there is enough space, inside and out, where you can find a quiet space to read a book.

There are six bedrooms in the house - each with an ensuite bathroom. The mezzanine level overlooking the Grand Salon can also be used as a bedroom. The Master-suite and bedroom 2 are on the first floor while the remaining bedrooms can be accessed from a dedicated corridor on the ground floor. The Beds are Marriott Hotel beds for extra comfort or zip beds to allow us to meet the needs of different groups.

We have two cots available upon request.

The house is set in three hectares of garden, vineyards and oak forests, with breathtaking views of a valley filled with vineyards. The only neighbor is the private Chateau de Benauge.

The saltwater pool is deep and ideal for playing games or jumping on lilos. It is not heated (it does not need to be in summer) and we close it during the winter months.
The area is ideal for hikers, cyclists, and guests wishing to take advantage of the many local attractions and beautiful scenery. Wine tasting and fantastic restaurants are literally on your doorstep.
