Live next door to the King and Queen on the historic island of King’s hat, just a few kilometers from the City Hall in Stockholm!

Our red cottage has been completely renovated and is now a rustic, charming and modern accommodation for up to six people. The cottage has a modern kitchen, two bedrooms and a living room with fireplace. Surrounding the house is a veranda which offers a fantastic view of the water, from where you can see Drottningholm Palace and the silhouette of the city of Stockholm. In the garden you have a outdoor shower and composting toilet. The place is quiet and peaceful.
The island has beautiful hiking trails, you can swim from the pier or the sandy beach or fish for perch and pike. During the summer there are plenty of blueberries and during fall a lot of mushrooms. There is abundant wildlife including deer, wild boar, hare and moose.

The island has no bridge, but the majority of daily trips go by steamer from Stockholm City Hall, right next to Central Station. For those who wish, you can easily take the steamer passing by Kungshatt to the Kings castle Drottningholm.

If you want to combine cottage holiday with city life there is tours by boat to Stockholm city every day!

All groceries should be bought before departure by boat because the island have no stores.
