Lake Sumter Landing, modeled on Old Key West, is a center for many varied dining options, from Thai to Japanese to New York City deli! The Old Mill Playhouse is an eight-screen theater offering the latest in movie entertainment. Lake Sumter has its own boardwalk, lighthouse (really another restaurant offering excellent fish and chips) and a trail of signs offering the (alternate) history of Lake Sumter. These "historical" signs might not be totally factual, but they are very funny. Each evening, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Lake Sumter Landing offers free entertainment, featuring live music and the ever-popular line dancing. Delwood Way's master bedroom has a king-size bed, large walk-in closet, a flat screen TV and a private master bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. Bedroom two has a queen-size bed, a closet, a flat screen TV and is adjacent to bathroom two, which features a tub and shower combination. The open plan living room has comfortable seating for family and friends, and offers a flat screen TV. The compact kitchen has a breakfast bar for relaxed dining and is fully equipped for in-home cooking. Please do remember that "Eating Out" is a Villages' pastime; there are over 100 dining options to sample! The dining room has comfortable seating for more formal dining, should you choose a quiet evening in. The delightful screened lanai has all you need for BBQ dining in the Florida sunshine and evening breezes. Recreation Centers are another important part of The Villages' lifestyle! Whether you choose the short golf-cart jaunt to the Hibiscus Village neighborhood rec center, or a short ride in the opposite direction to the Pennecamp Neighborhood pool, you will find all manner of indoor and outdoor activities. You are a very short golf-cart drive from Lake Miona Regional Rec, which is beautifully decorated in New England coastal decor. Please do stop by your local or regional rec center for the comprehensive lists of over the 1,000 free activities and classes offered weekly, from Zumba to line dancing, mah-jongg to card games, tennis to The Villages' other Ball! There really is something for everyone to try. You will be amazed at what your Temporary ID will provide! If golf is your reason for visiting The Villages, you are a short golf-cart jaunt from the executive course of Bonita Pass. The more challenging Cane Garden and Palmer Legends Country Clubs' championship courses are close and feature pro shops and excellent dining. All VIR properties come with High Speed WiFi internet included. Linens, dishes, cutlery and towels are also supplied for your convenience. Each property has either cable TV or satellite TV available for your enjoyment. With the Village Temporary Resident ID card you can use any of the 36 executive golf courses with no greens fees. These executive golf courses are not your typical "pitch & putts!" They present some challenging par 3s and the occasional par 4, with three sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of different skill levels. You will pay resident rates on greens fees at the 12 Championship courses. You are also entitled to use any of the family friendly and adult only (30 or older) swimming pools, organized activity swimming pools, bocce ball, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, billiards tables, tennis & pickle ball courts, basketball courts, sand volley ball and over 1,000 organized activities every week through the recreational centers.
