'Lesser Light' is a charming cottage surrounded by brush and flower gardens. It has cathedral ceilings, a fully-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, and a huge, private deck with chaises, a hammock, table and chairs and a gas grill. This 700 sq. ft. cottage comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests, with one queen bedroom and a separate sleeping area off the main living area with a full-size pullout bed (pocket doors can be closed for privacy). There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower, and also an outdoor shower on the deck.
The cottage can be a romantic hideaway for a couple, or a vacation destination for 2 couples or a small family. Located in Tom Nevers East, minutes from the Ocean, the bike path into town, a shuttle bus stop, and a short five minute drive into Siasconset, 'Lesser Light' is an idyllic getaway from the hectic pace of a Nantucket Summer, with easy access to all the attractions of the Island.
The cottage can be rented separately or together with our 5 bedroom 7 bath main house, 'Incandescence.' Both are set on the same 3 acre property but are privately situated over 300' away from each other, screened by thick brush, and each has its own separate driveway. A meandering stone path connects the two when they are rented by the same party or extended family.
$500 security deposit for all stays (refundable).
Dog fee $100/dog.
'Lesser Light' is not available as a full-season (or full-year) rental.
