Description

Moncontour Active Park enjoys a quiet and rural setting by a 10-ha large recreational lake. During the weekends from April until September, and every day during the months of July and August, you can do a variety of water sports here, including kayaking, swimming, going down the enormous slide and wakeboarding on a cabled course*. Other activities include mini golf, (table) tennis, football, boules, beach volleyball and cycling. The resort has a reception and there's a (snack) bar with a terrace by the lake (opened from June to August), as well as a beach with picnic tables and a playground. You can park your car outside your accommodation. The Poitou-Charentes is a peaceful, green, rural region in the west of France. It sometimes seems as if time stood still here. The perfect destination for families looking for tranquillity, plenty of space and the authentic French way of life, but enjoy an active holiday too. There are many pretty towns nearby, were you can find some interesting markets. The bakery, butcher's and a large supermarket are around 10km away. Moncontour is surrounded by many villages listed as 'Plus Beaux Villages de France' and some of those have ancient castles that you can visit.Other interesting day trips include a visit to the adventure parks Puy du Fou and Futuroscope or monkey park La Vallée des Singes (all around 1 hour from the resort). *Due to government measures with regard to the drought this year (2022), the lake cannot be refilled with water. The chance that one cannot swim is high. As compensation, 1 free ticket per person for 1 day during the stay on the holiday park for the Aqualud waterpark in Loudun will be issued.

Moncontour Active Park is a green property with a campsite and a section with chalets and bungalows. There are 23 houses that are neatly and efficiently arranged. They always have a complete kitchenette and a terrace or garden with a sitting area. Specifics
• Wi-Fi is available in the public areas for free.
• In July and August there's guarded swimming in the lake.
• The use of the lake and the facilities is included for guests of the holiday park. Other guests are welcome too, but have to pay.
• The national policy is aimed at minimizing social contacts with others and ensuring (hand) hygiene. At holiday parks the amenities such as entertainment, kids club, swimming pool, wellness and the restaurants may have altered opening hours or might be closed. As soon as it is possible according to government advice, facilities will be opened once again.
• Please note that most countries and/or areas have COVID-19 measures in place. We advise you to take this into account when booking your holiday home since a change in restrictions may not be a valid reason to cancel the booking free of charge.
