Description

185 km from Brisbane, 110 km from the Gold Coast, and less than 100km inland from world-famous Byron Bay (the bohemian surfing mecca of Australia), in the stunning farming region of Kyogle, lies this true gem of a property, where you can unwind, de-stress and get back to nature.

Surrounded by 300 acres of working cattle property in every direction, this private retreat offers open space, stunning rural views and tranquil privacy. And you will have the entire property all to yourself!

Bellambi Cottage was constructed over 100 years ago and has recently been lovingly restored and tastefully decorated to offer a true Australian country experience for visiting travellers.

With modern appliances, comfortable bedding and fine linens, colonial furnishings and historic decorative pieces throughout, you will enjoy true luxury and a sense of pure indulgence. On a winter night curl up together in front of the wood fire with a bottle of fine Australian wine and a locally sourced cheese platter. In summer bask on the outdoor deck under the shade of native figs and gum trees and gaze into the evening sky to a star-studded display of the Milky Way.

You will meet many species of birds and iconic natural wildlife during your stay. And with a dense natural Eucalyptus Gum woodland area at the edge of the property, you will surely meet our resident koalas - Australia's most beautifully sleepy, furry creatures!

If you feel the need to venture out, the local area features several national parks and cool rainforest areas which are ideal for bushwalking and picnics. Or you could try your hand fishing for wild bass in the nearby Toonumbar Dam, enjoy guided horse-riding along pretty Horseshoe Creek, browse local arts, crafts and homewares at various retail outlets and market stalls in Kyogle, take in a counter meal at one of several local pubs, or visit the chic new bowling lanes for a game of ten-pin bowling.

An 18-hole golf course and swimming pool and sports facility are also located in Kyogle.

However much you do or don't do during your stay, we guarantee you will leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated........after all, life is too short!
