This villa is conveniently located near Beaune and many wine villages along the famous Route des Grands Crus.
From the 12th century until the French Revolution, the vast estate belonged to an important Cistercian abbey, small in terms of monks but vast in terms of surrounding forests, pastures, waterways, and vineyards. Its current owners fell in love with the estate and set out to resurrect its spiritual and natural history.

Palais De Réon is one of the buildings that they have brought back to life after ten years of hard work.
Previously the abbot's residence, the palais has been beautifully renovated to honor its history while creating an enchanting place to stay. Admire ornate detailing, elegant furnishings, and an authentic sense of grandeur as you wander through its living and dining spaces, alongside 21st century comforts such as the home cinema system in the downstairs lounge and the classic kitchen with its Lacanche ovens and appliances.

Five spacious double bedrooms are located on the first floor, each with its own bath or shower room, and a 2-bedroom suite is located downstairs, ideal for guests with limited mobility.
Bathrobes and high-end eco toiletries are provided. Outside, there is a heated swimming pool, a pool room with a jacuzzi and two saunas, and a private tennis court.

Guests can also enjoy three hectares of private grounds, where they can listen to birds sing among the century-old trees, relax by the tranquil pond, or enjoy fine Côte-d'Or wines on their private terrace. Beyond your garden, there is so much more to discover on the 750-hectare estate, which includes an eco-forest, nature reserve, vineyard, and bio-dynamic farm, all of which can be toured.

You're close to a village and a short drive from restaurants, and you're only 12 kilometers from Beaune, Burgundy's wine capital. Take in the atmosphere of its twice-weekly market or simply stroll around its cobblestone lanes, stopping in wine bars, admiring delightful shops, and visiting Hospices de Beaune, one of France's most important historical buildings.

Cycle, walk, or drive along the famous Route des Grands Crus, passing through idyllic vineyards, picture-perfect wine villages, and Michelin-starred restaurants - Puligny Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard are all within 15 kilometers.

Then there's the Sunday morning market in Chagny, which also houses the 100-year-old three-Michelin-starred restaurant Maison Lameloise, and more cycle rides along the Canal du Centre's tow paths. A little further afield, sample the mustards of Dijon, visit the market in Autun, the abbey in Cluny, or, for those looking for even more outdoor adventures, escape to the Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan, another natural highlight of this magnificent region.
