Description

The cottage is located on the island of Talgje, in the fjord Ryfylke about 30 minutes drive from Stavanger via tunnels under the sea. In addition, there are regular departures by ferry to / from Stavanger center - Talgje. The cottage is located on a south facing lake plot with large porch and own dock. The plot consists mostly of natural land, with large areas where the children can play freely.
The cottage, which is rented weekly, has a simple standard with 10 beds in 5 double beds in 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The ground floor has an open floor plan with kitchen and living room and a bathroom with toilet and shower. The kitchen has large countertops and is equipped with, among other things, induction hob, oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender, coffee maker and kettle etc. Meals can be enjoyed around the dining table or outside on the veranda with direct access from the living room. On the veranda there is a large dining table with 6 chairs, 2 benches and barbecue. Four extra chairs are available if required.
Talgje is known for its rich fauna in the form of wild flowers and plants, and there is excellent diving and fishing around the island. In the immediate vicinity there is a frisbee golf course and the opportunity to rent a kayak (The island has a lush nature with fine hiking trails, as well as tomato farms and greenhouses for flowers. Rich flora and fauna with, for example, deer and eagles is not an unusual sight from the cottage. In addition, the island has a lot of history, with many traces from both the Viking Age and the Iron Age. Guided tours are available on the island and to the church dating back to the 12th century. Talgje is also a perfect base for excursions to the Pulpit Rock, the Lysefjord, the Kjeragbolten and the like. Boats are available for hire upon request.
