Description

This wonderful home, constructed in the traditional plank wall style of the early 1800's, was built from the timbers harvested on the land. It operated as a farm for over one hundred years. The house has now been restored without losing its simple charm. Warm and cozy, quiet and secluded, yet quite accessible.
The home features 1,800 square feet of well-appointed living space, sprinkled with bright decor and antique touches that make the property feel spacious and warm. Nestled away from the busy city, you'll have ample outdoor space to enjoy and a quiet place to return to.
Area Attractions:
Get a taste of Greensboro when you drive 4 minutes up the road to the world renowned Hill Farmstead Brewery. The Brewery has produced several of the top rated beers and ales in the world over the past several years. Folks travel from all over to visit Hill Farmstead and stock up with their fine products. Bring your purchases back to the house and ejoy them on the deck on a warm summer day.

Another world renowned business in town is The Cellars at Jasper Hill. Their cheese, which receives international awards, is available at The Willeys Store, in the center of the village across from Caspian Lake beach. Willeys is an amazing general store you will tell all your friends about and revisit often. Check out the hardware, clothing, grocery, and vast wine selections. Pair your Jasper Hill Cheese with a chilled Hill Farmstead brew available either at the Brewery or at Willeys.
Circus Smirkus, our own home town youth circus, is located at the entrance to Greensboro. Enjoy a performance under the big top in July before the group goes on tour or in August when the group returns.
On hot summer days, visit Caspian Lake, just a mile and a half from the house in the village. This 800-acre lake is one of the few spots where visitors can boat, water-ski, Kayak and swim on the shores. Bring your bathing suit and spend the day relaxing in the pristine inland waters. In the winter it is know for its ice fishing.

A mile from the house to the west is Barr Hill, a nature preserve with gorgeous vistas. This is a popular hiking destination in town as is Long Pond a one mile hike from its trailhead two miles up the road from the house.

Just on the outskirts of the village is the new Highland Center for the Arts, a magnificent theater complex featuring concerts, plays, an art gallery, and a cafe with a bar.

The charming town of Craftsbury is just 17 minutes away, located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom. Spend the day browsing local shops, or venture over on a Sunday for weekly summer concerts on the common.

In the winter, the Craftsbury Outdoor Center offers a vast network of cross country ski trails. These trails are accessible in Greensboro, ten minutes from the house. Ski rentals are available at the Center.
