Description

Villa Daiquiri is a striking example of elegance, class and style, executed with flawless attention to detail - luxurious but not pretentious, on a special beach-side spot where the Atlantic Ocean flirts with the Caribbean Sea.

This architect designed plantation style home is a far cry from an anonymous holiday rental; it blends designer verve with Caribbean ease and European elegance to create something unique. Larry Warren, a key player in the island's property development, (who helped design the legendary Sandy Lane estate), finished this home with a charismatic touch.

At immediate glance, guests will know they are in for a treat at Villa Daiquiri. The glamorous facade features olive-toned lattice fretwork framing the cloistered colonial style verandas and balconies, within a securely gated enclave. With views across Mullins beach, the soft trade winds rustling in the palms, guests will be able to dine in style at the pretty timber pillared dining pavilion, or recline in the ever-so elegant ‘orangery' style indoor-outdoor dining room for afternoon tea.

Villa Daiquiri epitomises understated luxury and impeccable taste, with all the hallmarks of quality throughout raw materials and spatial design. When lit at night, the gardens and poolside create a mystical atmosphere - blending fragrant plants, the strikingly beautiful low-hanging candelabra and tranquility for a little slice of magic. The interiors at this dazzling abode are brimming with genteel, colonial refinement - grown up glamour and daring designer touches are executed within such graceful style. The living space offers many sub divided areas, plush fabrics, recessed alcoves and marble flooring whilst the kitchen is a sleek, state-of-the-art affair

The handsome bedrooms are offset with large Art-deco style windows and ample use of natural timber; the classical and timeless allure of this home is offset by surprising twists such as the free-standing cherry timber bath in the centre of the bathroom. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, this home is optimal for a group or large family, and offers unlimited entertainment potential with its large spaces and three discreet staff members on hand.

The romantic quality of this home runs throughout, from the garden room bedroom next to the lagoon pool, to the ornate decorative touches. With all the contemporary touches in place, Villa Daiquiri doesn't miss a beat: Sonos sound, designer kitchen, television in each bedroom, air-conditioning, wi-fi and cable.

Villa Daiquiri is a style lover's paradise, it seamlessly blends the most tasteful of interiors with local flavour and unparalleled gardens which gently lead down to one of the island's finest beaches - a combination that is very hard to beat!

#### Location
Villa Daiquiri is in one of the most sought-after parts of the spectacular West Coast of Barbados, with panoramic views of the meeting point between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean; named the “platinum coast,” this stretch is known for its clear, turquoise waters and fine sands.

This stunning home is nestled right on the beachfront overlooking Mullins Bay, one of the region's best known beaches, within close proximity to the well-heeled Royal Westmoreland Golf course (3.7 km). Whilst guests can enjoy unadulterated tranquillity, with the sounds of the sea all around, in a tropical oasis of palms and bougainvillea, this beautiful spot is nestled with close access to some of the most colourful and intriguing towns that Barbados has to offer: Speightown (1.8 km) and Holetown (5.6 km.)

Mullins Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the west coast - visitors can recline in the shade of a casuarina tree and grab a drink or enjoy a romantic sunset dinner at the beach bar.

Nearby Speightstown is also known as “little Bristol” - this town offers evocative local life, fisherman casting their catch on the jetty, a distinctly nautical feel along with street vendors and eclectic dining options.

The island's capital, Bridgetown (17.1 km distance) is known for its British colonial architecture and historical sites blending with colourful shopping, an abundance of sea based activities and UNESCO world heritage status.

Holetown will offer a slice of local Bajan life. The Chattel village is a melting pot of artisans, offering local crafts, art and jewellery. The Chattel houses provide a striking contrast to the colonial residences with their dazzling white coral facades and open verandas; the former are vividly coloured with fancy gables and gingerbread fretwork.

Barbados is a place of contrasts, from movie-star hedonism to cane-cutting village life and artisanal fare; from fishing villages to dramatic, rugged Atlantic coastlines - visitors will enjoy a vivacious diversity within a very accessibly-sized island. A unique blend of vibrant, local life and colonial-influenced afternoon teas alongside cricket matches on the green!
