Description

Nestled between the crystal clear water of an ancient cenote and the crashing waves of the Carribean sea on Soliman Bay, Tulum, is Villa Tankah, an impressive white stone villa with five bedrooms that accommodates up to ten guests in luxurious, ecologically beautiful surroundings. This architecturally stunning villa is stylishly decorated throughout with spacious, open plan areas, fresh white decor and light coloured wood. Floor to ceiling glass doors and windows open right out onto your private terrace and pool area, offering views of the white sandy beach and glittering ocean beyond. Furniture is cosy and handsomely crafted, with plush white corner sofas and chunky wooden dining table and kitchen units that add a touch of rustic sophistication, and rich turquoise shades feature in the plump cushions and soft rugs, adding a pop of bright colour, with contemporary artworks and light fixtures contributing to the trendy modern vibe of Villa Tankah.

The open plan living area incorporates a well-equipped kitchen, featuring all the modern appliances needed for a comfortable and stress-free stay, including a blender and coffee maker, electric oven and large fridge-freezers. There's plenty of storage space and food preparation services, making whipping up a family feast a breeze, all the while being able to enjoy incredible ocean views, perhaps with a glass of wine or a margarita to get you into the holiday mood!

The villa features five luxuriously appointed bedrooms all with handsomely crafted king size beds, decorated to the same high standard as the living area, with plenty of wood-on-white decor and splashes of teal and azure blue. The rooms all feature air conditioning and ceiling fans for your comfort, and the three rooms on the upper level boast their own private balcony. The ensuite bedrooms are equally impressive and spacious, and all feature a modern rainforest shower, with one room benefitting from a bathtub in addition.

Villa Tankah features a private pool and garden area, surrounded by a low stone wall to allow a little privacy. There are plenty of sun loungers for guests to enjoy as well as a terrace and outdoor seating area; perfect for when guests want to relax with a cocktail and enjoy the views of the ocean and coral reef.

#### Location
Villa Tankah is situated just minutes from the sandy shores of Tulum, just 90 minutes south of Cancun and famous for its 1,000 year old Mayan ruins. The town's new age yoga vibe, stunning beaches and jungle-shrouded restaurants have made this area the place to be when visiting the Yucatan Peninsula. The most iconic beach in the area is the aptly named Playa Paraiso (Paradise Beach), known for its azure waters and swaying palms; even those who don't really ‘do' beaches will be hard pressed to not want to spend a day lounging around on the powder-white sand while the waves gently lap at the shore. The peninsula is also known for its cenotes, and these gorgeous sinkholes with rugged walls and crystal clear waters are perfect for a cool and refreshing dip after a day in the baking heat.

Another famous attraction of Tulum is its sea turtles, and if you are holidaying here you can't miss out on the opportunity to see them in their natural habitat. From May to October, many of the beaches in the area witness the arrival of thousands of turtles who come to lay their eggs in the powdery sand after nightfall. For more of an up-close-and-personal experience why not head to nearby Akumal, where visitors are able to swim with these incredible creatures.

Natural wonders, spectacular ocean views and gorgeous beaches aside, Tulum is home to some of the country's best nightlife; from full moon beach parties, to the popular Cuban bars on the central strip, you will be spoilt for choice if you are after exotic cocktails, music and dancing. If you're a fan of food (who isn't!?) you'll be pleased to know that you are in one of Mexico's top culinary destinations. The food here is inventive and fresh, and whether you're into seafood, meat, or vegan and vegetarian options there is something here to suit all palates.
