Description

Located just 10 minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack and a short drive to ski resorts, our private, cozy three-floor, 4-bedroom home offers a peaceful retreat to the mountains and lakes, complete with access to a range of community amenities. Renters have access to many of the Hideout’s amenities, including miniature golf, outdoor pools, beaches on the lakefront, a full sports complex, and ski hill/tubing (we register you after booking and will cover the cost of your first three guest passes).

The house has something for everyone. Whether you are a group of friends seeking a fun getaway or a family looking to create memories, the property can accommodate your needs. Shrouded by trees lining the property, our home features an outside deck for privacy while you enjoy your time outdoors.

The main floor boasts beautiful, custom-designed hardwood floors to pull together the open floor plan. Stainless steel appliances invite you to prepare home-cooked meals while your family and friends relax in the living room, featuring a wood-burning fireplace. Skylights provided natural light to the main living quarters, complete with a walkout onto the deck. Finishing out the main floor are the master bedroom with a queen size bed and newly renovated bathroom (see photos for layout).

The second floor offers two more bedrooms: one with a full-size bed and another with a full-size bed plus twin bunk beds.

Move onto the bottom level, which features the fourth bedroom with a queen-sized bed as well as a large entertainment space that includes a new multi-use foosball/pingpong/hockey table as well as a gaming system collection, and another family room with a television and DVD player with DVD collection. The downstairs also features another seating area for drinks or another area to eat while you hang out to play some games. Want to provide the kids with their own special gaming area while the adults relax upstairs? This house provides this possibility. Looking to play cards with your friends downstairs or enjoy a game of foosball while others watch a movie upstairs? Our home can accommodate.

Moving to the backyard, we have a firepit, brand new four-burner propane grill and an outdoor seating area to enjoy a meal on a nice day.

The property also features a laundry room for you to use, linens, towels, mountain-themed soaps and shampoos, and two bicycles and a beach umbrella for our guests to use while on site. We would be happy to provide recommendations for activities and restaurants around the area as well.

Lake Wallenpaupack, only 10 minutes from the home, offers year-round outdoor adventures. Whether you want to stay on site and take advantage of the amenities or want easy access to all of the area’s activities, our home in the Hideout is a convenient spot. Montage Mountain is a 25-minute drive from the property and features skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing in the winter.

The Hideout provides a range of amenities. Unlike other communities, our guests have access to these activities when they stay with us so that they can enjoy the full experience. Our community does charge an additional fee for guests (as they do for property owners) to use each amenity.

Once you have booked with us, we will need to fill out a rental form required by our community, as we will also need to provide to the community’s public safety office the license plate number of the cars coming to the community and license numbers, ages and addresses of each guest in the party. This is for safety, as our community has its own emergency services station. It is required and not optional. Our community requires this information to be submitted no later than 72 hours in advance.

To protect the experience for families vacationing in the area, the community’s public safety office does enforce a quiet time from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Upon leaving, please take all garbage with you to the disposal site within the community. Additionally, the community association strictly enforces a maximum occupancy for this property of 10 people.

We are dog friendly. We limit the number of dogs staying with us to two unless otherwise requested and agreed upon ahead of booking.

Limit of 4 pre-registered cars on property within the driveway; security will tow cars parked on the street.
