Brand new - Rooster Cottage has a detached garage and sits on an acre of land at the water's edge with a dock and mooring. The area is a quiet residential area within an easy bike ride to the town of Southwest Harbor (a little over 1/2 mile).
There is a Marina not far down Shore Road (Manset Yacht Service) where there are nice boats for rent (I have never rented from them, but I've never heard any complaints). Mt. Desert Island offers virtually everything for land and sea. There is nowhere like it.
