Description

Mikida House is very bright, the furnishings are in African style but all new. It is comfortable, spacious, a stone's throw from the Indian Ocean and the swimming pool. Mikida House is located in Mambrui, 8 km north from Malindi within a tourist complex, the Karibuni Village.
The complex is surrounded by greenery, with two swimming pools, one 200 meters from Mikida House and the other in the center of Karibuni, near a bar and restaurant.
The structure requires that you register as soon as you arrive so you know who is inside. If you do not want to cook at home, the hotel offers various packages with full or half board. It also does home delivery service. Ask directly to the Hall.
Our girl Estha is included in the cost, she will come and pick you up directly at the Hall to welcome you, make your way to the house and help you with every need. She will keep the house clean and tidy during your stay and this is included in the cost. She is also an excellent cook. It cooks both Western and Swahili dishes very well, but if you want it as a cook, you will have to pay it separately.
My suggestions to stay healthy in Kenya are few but I hope they are important:
• always close your doors at night, animals could enter;
• always rely on someone from the place to go to places of tourist interest;
• never pay too high figures as run, consider that a day is paid 300KSh (a figure that is between € 2.50 and € 2.50), so a tip of 100KSh will be more than welcome;
• if you do the Safari take candy, bread and biscuits with you. They will be useful to make children so happy that they wait for tourists to pass by the villages;
• if you want to meet many children you can ask Estha to accompany you to the orphanage in Mambrui, run by an Italian woman. If you are interested you can bring colors and notebooks;
• the best expenditure is made in Malindi at 7 floors but fruit and vegetables are also excellent from Noemi outside the Karibuni;
• to go shopping I recommend the Tourist Market in Malindi;
• get yourself a Kenyan card. It will be easier to communicate with the locals.
