Chateau de Marnieu is a magnificent medieval stone castle set on a hillside overlooking the gorgeous Aquitaine countryside. The interior decor is elegant yet modest, combining traditional rustic motifs with modern design and gentle colour schemes.

Guests have exclusive use of a luxurious 6 x 12 metre heated swimming pool surrounded by lawns and stylish sun loungers, and overlooking neighbouring fields and woodland. This is the Perigord ‘Vert' after all, renowned for luscious, uncultivated countryside, breath-taking granite valleys, and offering the chance to discover some authentic hidden gems in the villages and Chateaux scattered throughout the region.

The Family Suite: Castle Tower On the ground floor, you will find a large bedroom, with a super Queen size bed with anti-acarid beddings (transfer to two bed possible, 100x200) and cotton linen, sofa, two chairs, a round table, bathroom with double basin and bathtub, small vintage sofa, hair dryer, cotton towels, fouta, separate toilet. The upstairs bedroom comprises 2 twin beds of 90x200 (transfer to double bed possible) with anti-acarid beddings and cotton towels, toad chair, pedestal table, bathroom with single basin and bathtub, hairdryer, cotton towels, fouta, separate toilet. An extra bed is available at this floor to arrange the room in triplicate.

The Castle's Wing The ancient service quarters' second level is now occupied by four beautiful classical bedrooms . They are served by a long corridor, cushions are placed under the old mullioned windows, inviting confidence. Double or twin on request, anti-acarid bedding, cotton linen, chair or armchair, console and pedestal table, lights, bedside table ... Each room has been specially decorated, all in harmony. Bathed in evening light, they all benefit from a balcony offering a countryside view. Bathroom with double basin and a bathtub, cotton towels, hair dryer and separate toilet.

The kitchen Spacious and well equipped, the kitchen is the central room of Chateau de Marineu. On arrival, you will find staples and for your cooking comfort , a Thermomix TM31 Vorwerk with its cookbook and manual. The kitchen also includes a fridge-freezer, a Falcon stove with its 5 burner and 3 ovens, a dishwashers, and cookware. The large pantry in the Castle's service quarters allow you to deposit your shopping back from the market . Washing machine and tumble dryer are available for the clients in the laundry room, as much as an iron and its table.

The dining room The dining room is furnished with a beautiful corner cupboard in which most of the dishes and glassware is stored. You will be able to enjoy your meals around a large rectangular table, suited for 8 persons. Tablecloths are provided. We can offer different breakfast or dinner services.

The living room The large living room invites you to relax and rest with its comfortable three seater sofa, its armchairs, and its large coffee table. With Wifi access point, stay tuned to check your emails or look for must-see place in the area. Two french doors open onto the Castle's inner courtyard. A garden awaits you for moments of conviviality with family or friends.

The lounge and workroom For those who want to isolate themselves or work in a relaxed atmosphere, a work room is available on the first floor. At your disposal, a Chinese living room with a television.

The swimming-pool A basin with a flat bottom, of 6mx12m, secured. For your comfort, the pool is heated. Some very comfortable sun baths are at your disposal.
