Larsen Cottage 2 is a heritage-listed home, built by Henry Lawson's father in 1880. The cottage has preserved some of its earliest features and charm that harmonises with the modern comforts of a country-style kitchen and bathroom.

Larsen Cottage 2 is one of a pair of sweet little cottages, terraced together, sharing a large meandering cottage garden out the back, with seasonal plants and trees.

The cottage provides a private front veranda and private rear patio with pretty garden vistas and outside seating.

Built in the late 19th Century, specifically as holiday houses, Larsen Cottage 2 has been maintained and restored to modern standards, with all the comforts and luxuries of our modern day.

The Larsens Cottages have a unique story that includes a historic listing, having been built by Lars Nillsen, the father of Henry Lawson, a famous Australian poet, and national treasure.

Bernhoffer was the owner, also an important forefather, having constructed the original road on Mount Victoria, being the owner and initiator of this building.

Larsen Cottage 2 has three bedrooms, set up with lovely bedding, lighting, and comforts for guests.

The third bedroom is a delightful attic, so charming and set up with a single bed, waiting for a modern day goldilocks to stay. Be mindful the stairs are steep, but worth the adventure.

The bathroom is set up with a porcelain bath and overhead shower. Quality eco bath products are available for use, as well as all bath linen.

The farmhouse-style combined kitchen and dining room is fully equipped with cooking and eating facilities. The utensils will suit every home chef.

Unlimited WiFi is available and is connected to a Smart TV. Old fashioned board games and an interesting library will also entertain.

The loungeroom has cosy seating, with a Yotul wood burning combustion fire, and a basket of wood, instructions for lighting, setting a great experience.

The street is a lovely quiet avenue, only a few minute's walk to Mount Victoria Railway Station, as well as a great choice of restaurants, cafes, and antique shops in the village of Mount Victoria.

Blackheath is 10 Minutes away, with an amazing selection of restaurants, hotels, gift, and grocery shops. The local butcher is world-class.

Lithgow and Katoomba are 20 minutes away, in opposite directions, with large brand supermarkets, galleries, amazing cafes, restaurants, unique shopping and gifts, all within easy reach.

This property is suitable for quiet guests, with a love for our natural surroundings, to visit Scenic World, Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens, and Jenolan Caves within reasonable driving access to Mount Victoria, as well as nearby walks to escarpment lookouts and bush walks.

FEES

Base Tariff includes 3 people and extra guests are charged an extra fee per person, per night.


PAYMENT POLICY

Bookings are only confirmed once a minimum deposit of 50% is paid 30 days or greater to the arrival booking date.
The balance payment plus the refundable security bond are due 30 days to the arrival booking date.
Full payment plus the refundable security bond are required when booked less than 30 days to the arrival booking date.
Please note that all payments processed by Accommodated are subject to a 2.9% payment gateway transaction fee.
Payments will appear as *SEC ACCOMMODATED BYRON BAY/LENNOX HEAD NSW* on your bank statement.
By making payment/s for your booking it is deemed you have read and agree to our terms and conditions.
Bond refunds are processed 7 days after check-out and may take 5-10 days to appear in your bank account.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations 60 days or greater to the arrival date, incur a $5.00 non-refundable channel manager fee.
Cancellations 30 - 59 days to the arrival date will forfeit 50% of the full tariff.
Cancellations within 30 days to the arrival date will forfeit 100% of the full tariff.
If the person who booked is prohibited by law to travel due to a COVID-19 lockdown, bookings can be transferred up to a year in advance, with one free date change.
Accommodated is not responsible for cancellations of any events, functions, booked activities, or any other changed circumstances guests may experience and as such any cancellations due to the above mentioned issues, will be governed by our cancellation policy.
