This delightful clock tower, in the northern Angers countryside, is part of an imposing château, yet totally independent of it. It has its own private entrance and small garden and shares extensive parkland grounds. The interior is simply, but adequately equipped, and the living room and bedrooms look out over the garden and park. This area is spanned by some of the greatest rivers in France: the Mayenne, the Loire, the Sarthe and the Maine, so for lovers of boating, water sports and birdwatching, this is a paradise! There are several châteaux (Angers, Saumur, Chinon) within easy reach, and nearby vineyards of the western Loire are also well worth a visit.
