Here you can soak up the sun or relax at the end of the day with a drink of your choice. Falkenstein is located in the south-eastern part of the Harz district. The area is characterised by the fields of the Harz foothills and the forests of the low mountain range broken up by river valleys. The nearby, impressive Selketal makes a great place to go hiking and cycling. With its unique fauna and flora and well-marked trails the valley truly is a special experience. Other sights in the area include: Falkenstein Castle, Große Teufelsmühle, Preußenturm, Ballenstedt Castle and park, ride on the Selketalbahn.
