This charming stone cottage with private salt water swimming pool is situated in a lovely walled courtyard garden in the centre of a quiet village and within 200 meters walk of the River Dordogne. The interior features many original beams, exposed stone and brick walls and is well equipped and furnished with many antiques and objet d'art. All the accommodation is on the ground floor. The discreet owners live next door and offer a very warm welcome. The baker, good cafe/restaurant/bar, post office, small shop and church are all within 200 meters walk. The area is peaceful and ideally placed for visiting the many attractions of this wine producing area. Gardonne with Sunday morning market and canoe hire is 2kms. Award winning "cave" wine shop is just 5kms at le Fleix. Excellent 18 hole golf - 11kms. The historic towns of Bergerac with its Wednesday market and airport and St Foy-la-Grande, both situated on the River Dordogne, are just 12 kms. There are six principal groups of wine appellations in this area, the most famous being Monbazillac, Pécharmant and Bergerac. St Emilion, also very famous for its wine, is just 46kms.
