All along this coastline there is a good choice of sandy beaches and hidden coves such as nearby La Fossette (1km), Cavalaire (4km) and Plage du Rayol (9km) as well as beautiful spots further east such as Gigaro Beach (24km) and the six kilometres of La Croix Valmer coastline where you will find some stunning walks following the sea surrounded by diverse flora and fauna.

Le Lavandou (4km) is a popular seaside resort with lots of activities plus an international yacht marina which also features fishing boats still bringing in their catch of the day; don't miss the fish market every morning in decent weather! You'll find lots of nightlife in the summer months when the town comes alive with casinos, bars and night clubs but if you're looking for a more laid back approach there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes. Don't miss the weekly market on a Thursday morning to pick up some lovely local produce.

Escape the coast and find some of the wonderful walking and cycling trails up in the Maures mountains or head even further for a spectacular day at the Gorges du Verdon, the must see natural wonder of southern France where you can hire boats, canoes and kayaks. Alternatively, take a boat trip to the Iles d'Hyeres with their idyllic natural setting and lots of sightseeing opportunities by foot or bike.

Head inland to the delightful Bormes-les-Mimosas (8km), a little paradise situated on the edge of a hill, well-known for being beautifully decorated with colourful and sweet smelling flowers, picturesque stone walled houses and the tranquillity of village life.

Saint-Tropez is famous for its winding medieval streets, traditional pastel-painted fishermen's cottages, boutiques and restaurants and the port with fishing boats moored alongside luxurious yachts.
Those who enjoy the glitz and glamour must visit Pampelonne Beach and its various beach restaurants including the exclusive Club 55, popular with celebrities as well as visitors.

Heading west you also have the towns of Hyeres (26km) and Toulon (44km) which are worth a visit with plenty of culture, gastronomy and activities to be discovered and enjoyed.
