This lovely, detached, manor house is set in the quiet hamlet of Le Puy which is close to the village of Gurat, on the border between the Charentes and the Dordogne. This holiday property and its grounds are spectacular and very spacious with a private swimming pool. The property has a traditional feel with an emphasis on quality furnishings and comfort. The kitchen and back kitchen are well-equipped and fully-fitted, whilst the living and dining rooms are bright and airy with large traditional windows giving wonderful views over the garden and countryside. Gurat is a pretty village and Villebois-Lavalette, a 10-minute drive, is famous for its historic Roman château, wooden covered market and pretty streets. Visit Angoulême, less than half an hour's drive, which is capital of the Charente and famous for its architecture and international comic festivals. There are several beach lakes in the area for swimming and water sports as well as golf and paragliding facilities.
