Home to the specialty Belon oysters, renowned for their distinctive flavour, the traditional village of Riec has a regular market selling local produce as well as some renowned restaurants on the banks of the Belon, which serve seafood direct from the producers. The artists' centre of Pont Aven, made famous by Gauguin, has many popular shops and art galleries, as well as the recently refurbished Musée des Beaux Arts. The riverside setting and old watermill, as well as traditional boats moored at the quay, make this a popular place for a stroll for all the family. Several of the area's finest beaches with fine, pale sand are within 15km, including Raguénes, Port Manec'h and Kerfany.
