Villa in Lecco with breathtaking views of Lake Como. Located on a small hill just below the legendary San Martino, the villa enjoys one of the best views in Lecco, overlooking the entire city and nearby towns, with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains: from the famous "Resegone" of The Betrothed to Monte Barro and even Moregallo. On clear days, you can see as far as Milan!
The villa, built in the 1960s by Engineer Seregni, was recently updated (June 2024) and prepared for short-term rentals. The dimensions are generous, and guests will have exclusive access to all the reopened rooms, terraces, and the entire private garden!
The villa, located in the historic Rancio district, is reached via a narrow road that becomes private in the final stretch. Beyond the villa, there are only fields and paths leading to the summit of Mount San Martino. Upon reaching the villa, you can immediately park in the two-car garage provided. From there, a private staircase leads to the first spacious area, featuring a large porch and garden with valley views. Continuing up a second stone staircase, you reach the barbecue area and the door that leads to the main rooms: immediately to the right is the large eat-in kitchen, and to the left is a room used as a study and wardrobe. Continuing along the corridor, on the left is the first bathroom, and on the right is the area with two main rooms, one used as a dining room and the other as a relaxation area with large sofas, one of them being a sofa-bed. Alongside the kitchen and the two rooms, there is an impressive terrace that overlooks the entire city of Lecco. Continuing further along the corridor, you reach the majestic staircase that connects the upper floor to the lower one, where some rooms (laundry area and technical services area) are open. Finally, you reach the sleeping area, with three bedrooms and a master bathroom, for other 6 places.
The villa is characterized by high-quality furniture and rich in valuable decorative elements. Notably, a splendid painting dominates the entire wall in front of the staircase, and there is a fresco on the ground floor, which for now can only be seen through a glass door.
Lecco is a city that has recently rediscovered its tourist vocation, thanks to the fact that many tourists attracted by the "Lake Como" brand are beginning to understand that the Lecco branch has unique characteristics that make it even more attractive. Here, visitors can find a wide range of experiences: sports, primarily, thanks to Lecco's mountains, which are among the most famous in the world, with Valsassina hosting numerous world championships in various disciplines; glamour, with visits to the famous villages of Varenna and Bellano and their villas, easily reachable by train or boat; and culinary experiences, ranging from the famous cheeses of Valsassina to the typical fish dishes of Lake Como.
The villa is accessible by car or by the Lecco bus lines, which stop at the beginning of the private road. Those arriving on foot can request a taxi service or enjoy a 200-meter walk while taking in the breathtaking views. However, the climb in summer is not for everyone!
