Cosy wood fire, double spa bath, generous breakfast supplies and extra treats, surrounded by wildlife in complete privacy only minutes from Blackheath.
Set amongst 6 acres of glorious gardens and bushland on the stunning Shipley Plateau, the studio cottage is only minutes from beautiful bush walks and amazing lookouts over the Megalong and Kanimbla Valleys and a five minute drive from the gorgeous village of Blackheath, and 10 minutes from Katoomba and the famous Three Sisters.
The cottage is extremely cosy and contains a comfortable queen size bed, slow combustion wood fireplace, double spa bath, cable TV and DVD player, cd/iPod player. There are some great places to eat in town but if you're cooking at home the kitchenette has a microwave, fridge, electric hotplate and electric fry pan plus an outdoor BBQ area.
Wildlife abounds including wild birds (birdseed provided) at your door. The property is also home to two alpacas and is often frequented by wombats, wallabies, lyre birds and kangaroos.
Included:
Quality linen and generous breakfast provisions are supplied for your first morning, including fresh eggs, bacon, yogurt, bread and cereal. We provide fresh apple juice from our local orchard and ground coffee to use in our coffee machine. For the evening, a bottle of wine and some nibbles and chocolates are provided for you to enjoy in front of the fireplace. Tea light candles, essential oils and herbal bathroom products are also supplied.

Blackheath and Shipley

Tricklebeck is only minutes drive from some of the areas best bushwalks and lookouts. Visit Hargraves Lookout for amazing views over Megalong and Kanimbla Valleys. Or drive down to Megalong Valley, through the rainforest and go horseriding. Shipley is also famous for its apple orchard Logan Brae which is open to the public on weekends.
Tricklebeck is less than 5 minutes drive from the village of Blackheath, with its excellent restaurants, antique shops and lovely cafes and specialty shops. You must try the sourdough from one of the two local bakeries or visit the New Ivanhoe for good old fashioned pub style meals.
There are many local walking tracks at Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout or you could take a short drive to one of the various attractions such as the Megalong Valley, Jenolan Caves, the Three Sisters at Echo Point, Leura Mall and Wentworth Falls, all with their own galleries, antique and craft shops, restaurants, cafes and walks.
