All rooms have floor to ceiling glass doors or windows and were built to frame the breathtaking view. All except for the bunk room have balconies with comfortable seating and enough space for a your sunrise yoga and meditation practice. There’s A/C throughout the house, although there’s usually enough of a breeze that it’s not necessary except in the hottest of months.
The house has two floors. On the ground floor, in addition to the large terrace, indoor kitchen, outdoor BBQ kitchen and living room, there is a king master bedroom with an en suite bathroom with an oversized bathtub and separate walk in shower. On the second level there’s 2 more king master bedrooms, each with their own en suite bathroom. A bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds (sleeps four) and a king guest room share a Jack and Jill bathroom with a large tub and shower combo that has one of the best views you’ll ever see.Beautiful Turkish towels are provided for bath, pool & beach.
The gracious arches of Casa Niri were molded by hand and each corner sculpted into soft curves. The house was built from the simple quality materials, including locally handcrafted cement tiles, venetian plaster, custom teak cabinets, and custom bathtubs and sinks.
The interior has been expertly curated with natural textures and subtle colors. High quality mattresses and linens ensure a restful night. Plenty of closet space means you can stay organized while you rest. Luxurious spa bathrooms stocked with Turkish bath towels and cotton waffle cloths will reinforce that you truly are in the house of your dreams.
Roughly 3500 square feet of indoor space blends seamlessly into approximately 2,000 square feet of covered exterior space, plus another 2,500 sf of yard. The house was designed to be as comfortable as it is beautiful, and to that end, the exterior space has numerous locations for lounging. There is a hanging bed, an oversized couch, pool lounge chairs, bean bag poufs and more. The infinity edge saltwater pool (12’ x 36’ long) is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The expertly designed garden is touted for both its form and function. Our menu features many of the edible plants we grow on site. The garden is full of fruit trees, medicinal plants, and a huge variety of herbs, all of which are for your use.
Casa Niri is a sustainable dwelling. The owners have replanted many native trees that are feeding grounds for butterflies, monkeys and birds. There is solar hot water with future plans to convert the house to solar-powered electricity. Casa Niri is built into a cliff with thick cement walls to keep the surfaces cool and is designed to maximize the jungle breeze - but we do also have air conditioning in all rooms for the hottest of days.
Please note that Bedroom #1 is the ground level master suite. This room can be made up 3 ways:
1. As a TV/Media/Play room, where the 2 twin beds form an L Couch.
2. As a bedroom with 2 twin beds
3. As a bedroom with 1 king bed.
If you don’t need a ground level master suite, we suggest having this made up as a media/play room, as this room contains the only TV in the house.
On the covered outdoor terrace, we have a large teak dining table that seats 12. Even when it rains, there’s so much covered terrace space that we still eat outside, moving the table around as needed. It is possible to bring the table inside, but it makes the living room very full. Mery, our full time manager, can help you set it up so it works if you decide you’re more comfortable having a dining table inside.
