The villa has been recently renovated, decorated in a real provencale style with modern furniture, the massive garden has been re-landscaped. A safe paradise for the children and for their parents.
Children can play safely in the enclosed garden : besides the heated and enclosed pool (pool open from begin april to end oct) there is a huge trampoline, football cages, table tennis, foosball, pétanque and a painting glasshouse… the vast flowery garden offers lots of shade and different areas to find a quiet spot to relax for all the family.
Situated just outside the village on a quiet country road, you can walk through many fruit fields (cherry, apple, pear and melon) right outside the garden gate! And all amenities needed for a comfortable stay (supermarkets, restaurants, petrol station,…) are just 5 km down the road. (bakery, pharmacy and restaurant starting at 1.5 km).
If you fancy a day out you are just a stone's throw from Isle-sur-Sorgue (and its stunning antique market), Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, Arles. Countless nearby traditional food markets every day of the week.
Indoors: the open plan living and dining area has two french windows onto the terrace complete with summer kitchen, plancha and bbq area and dining. A lovely old stone fireplace is perfect for an off-season break. Tv room, pool table and playroom upstairs in the mezzanine.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a 8 seater dining table which is ideal for giving little ones an early evening meal or for no-fuss breakfasts. There is a double-door fridge/freezers, 5 burners gaz cooking stove & XL oven, microwave, dishwasher and lots of storage space. Utility room with extra dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Plenty of baby & toddler equipment available on-site (3 travel cots, highchairs, booster seats, changing table, baby food blender, loo seat, stairgates, nigh lights...)
5 double bedrooms, including 2 ensuite. All with air conditioning. All beds can be set to form a double 160x200 or two single 90x200 beds (except bunk beds).
1 bathroom accessible from rooms corridor. 1 of the ensuite bathroom can be turned into an independent bathroom depending on needs.
1 bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds and a store away bed can host 5 people (adult size beds).
Ample cupboard space in all bedrooms.
Outdoors: 6600m2 of flat mostly grassed enclosed garden await you. A lovely mature garden with lots of fruit trees and different areas to sit, in the sun or shade. The very large 100m2 terraces are perfect for all day dining, sitting and relaxing. The herbs garden nearby makes it fun to educate kids to plants and various tastes.
Bring your cars in (parking for at least 4 cars - 2 in a carport for shade) and close the gates behind you, ensuring safety and privacy.
A heated pool of 15m x 5m with toddler friendly shallow-waters area. It has an electric hard cover and is also fenced for maximum child security (!! heated from mid April to end Oct).
Lots of play things are here already - a huge trampoline (with safety nets) - table tennis, foosball, a painting glasshouse, football cages and lots of other toys.
Surroundings: the house nestles just outside the village, a 2km walk along country lanes.
For the adventurous you'll find in the village a climbing-in-the-trees park (with a toddler version that starts from just 2 years old). Also in the village you can find kayak rental (you can paddle all the way from the village to Isle-sur-Sorgue! A stunning trip), and pony riding for all ages. A great golf course (Golf-Provence Country Club) is just 5 km in the next village, Saumanes.
4km will bring you to Isle-sur-La-Sorgue, a very pretty town which is well known for it's huge antique market and lots of window shopping!. You can also take a guided tour of the town, it's also a great place for a stroll with a buggy and a coffee. Bike rental available in Isle-sur-Sorgue.
You are right in the middle of the Peter Mayle's made famous, Luberon. Just 8km from Cavaillon, 13kms from Gordes, 19kms from Roussillon - all have their own markets and are just waiting to be discovered, Roussillon for it's stunning red rock and Gordes for it's pretty little streets. And of course in the Luberon national park, which is full of fabulous walks and bike rides.
Only 20 mins from Avignon, you can't miss the chance to dance on the pont d'Avignon and visit the Palais des Papes - take a babysitter and have a night at the lovely opera house. If it's just too hot or it's rainy go to the royal kids indoor play centre.
Little people will be thriled to go the Zoo de la Barben and a visit to the Haribo sweet museum and factory via a trip to see the Pont du Gard the roman aqueduct. Another great visit for a hot day is the Thouzon caves and those Thomas the tank engine fantatics will love the Jarditrain .
How to get there ? There is a train station in Isle-sur-Sorgue (5km) with easy connections in Avignon with the all main French railways and towns. Avignon-TGV is only 30 min drive and offers plenty international high-speed train connections as well. Marseilles-Provence airport with connection from all Europe is only 50 min drive.
