Villa Azzurra is a renovated but modern property. It sleeps 8 persons in 4 bedrooms and up to 2 more people on 1 kingsize sofa bed or 2 small folding beds. The villa is 250 sq. meters in size and has a very airy spacious feel. The independent villa is set in a lovely walled garden on an acre of land. It is approached through electric gates with audio screening inside the villa. It is situated about 3kms from the delightful medieval town of Oria and very close to the Sanctuary of San Cosimo, both can be seen clearly from the villa. Al fresco living is really the Pugliese way of life especially in the summer months. The villa has a large covered verandah to the front with plenty of seating and dining facilities. There is a further terrace a couple of steps down from the pool terrace adjacent to one of the olive groves. On this terrace there is a very large wooden gazebo 7mtrs x 5mtrs. This provides shelter for numerous very comfortable lounging areas, another dining area and an outdoor kitchen. There is a wood burning pizza oven and an open barbecue along with a marble surfaced preparation area and sink. All this area is well lit for cooking and eating under the stars. The very large saline pool is 13x5 meters and entered from the Roman steps, which are also great for sitting/lying on. The depth is 1mtr 40cms throughout, perfect for a decent swim and teaching your children to swim. There are 10 sun beds with extra -soft cushions; these are dotted around the paved patio surrounding the pool. There are also 7 turquoise sun beds, which can be taken to the beach or used as extras for guests. The pool and surrounding area can be lit for evening swimming. Close to the pool there is an outdoor shower, which can also be used when returning from the beach as well as a full 4th bathroom in the outhouse. At night the pool area provides a fabulous spot to enjoy a Prosecco or local Primitivo - pre or post dinner -whilst watching the spectacular sunsets!
