From the moment of your arrival, Nina and the team will be on hand to take care of all the details. From picking up groceries then transforming them into gorgeous fruit salads and seafood curries, to careful housekeeping, coconut cakes, and home made caipirinhas - and that's just Nina's help.

Your caseiro is always there when you need him to run an errand, keep the pool sparkling clean, or light up the bbq.

And for kite surfers we have the ultimate assistant, a Kite Butler! He has been specially trained to drive a buggy and can take you for downwinders, drop you off at the lagoon, clean your kit at the end of the day and pack it away. And if your equipment needs repairing, he will nip it over to the shop and drop it off again once fixed. You'll be able to leave behind any hassle, and simply focus on the kiting.

The kite butler is available for a small extra fee.

For those looking to lounge poolside with a good book in hand, A Vida é um Carnaval offers just that: smoothies, sunshine and large loungers where you can close your eyes and enjoy the blazing Brazilian sunshine.

And for the folk who grow restless poolside, there are a wide range of activities from which you can find bursts of adrenalin and endorphins.

Go for a buggy ride, zipping down the beach and up the dunes, bumping and tearing your way through coconut trees and past groups of startled donkeys. Pause for a few moments at the top of the dunes to gaze at the moon emerging from the over the ocean, whilst the sun retreats behind the sand. Or if blending in with nature suits you better, do the same on horse back.

What else you ask? Kitesurfing, whether in the open waters on the tranquil lagoon just 10 minutes away by buggy, surfing right in front of the house, and to sooth the sore muscles after so much excitement, an in-house yoga session followed by a massage with the waves as your soundtrack. Settle into the sandy garden just in front of the beach for an open fire barbecue, with fresh fish grilling on sticks jutting out from the sand.

Taiba is the real Northeastern Brail. If manicured resorts and shopping malls are what you're after, you won't find that in Taíba. Instead, you'll come across local joints where the fishermen swig beer and sway to the music of reggae bands, families lounging roadside and speakers larger than the car boots in which they sit, playing thumping beats late into the night.

The villa's privileged location on the beachfront places you in the midst of the beachy buzz; find couples catching rays just metres away and surf fans perching on the front garden gate, watching their friends glide across the rolling waves.

- Evening fish bbq: A beautiful experience! The team will lay out blankets and a low table, barbecuing fresh fish over coconut husks right in front of the beach. Nina prepares tapioca pancakes and fresh veggies to go with, whilst you eat surrounded by flickering candles and a convenient caipirinha bar just off to the side. It's a night to remember.
