Description

Waterpark Terkaple is a small holiday park. It is surrounded by green meadows and water in the province of Friesland in the Terkaplester pools. This is a lake that is part of the Sneekermeer area, making it a haven for water sports enthusiasts. It is located near the small village of Terkaple with only 200 inhabitants, 3.5 km. from the larger Terherne. On the holiday park itself you have access to various facilities for young and old. There is a reception, a marina, bike rental, a table tennis table and a playground. Of course you can also make use of all the options the water has to offer; boating, canoeing, swimming, supping or just floating on an air mattress, it's all possible (bring your own equipment). In the vicinity there are several options for excursions. The surroundings of Terherne are easy to explore by bicycle. There is a special cycling network app which, based on your personal preferences, can suggest various cycling routes with different drop-off points. For lovers of culture, the Frisian museum in Leeuwarden (28 km) and the Jopie Huisman museum in Workum (41 km) are recommended. For some activity, the Thialf ice stadium in Heerenveen (21km) and Swimfun (a subtropical swimming pool) in Joure (9 km) are worth a visit for young and old. For the children are the Chameleon Village in Terherne, cow-cuddling in Delfstrahuizen (20 km) and Ballorig (indoor playground) in Heerenveen recommended. If you love butterflies, Papiliorama in Havellte (50 km.) is a must. This is one of the largest indoor butterfly gardens in Europe. For city lovers, Sneek (22 km), Drachten (35 km), Meppel (57 km), Groningen (73 km), Assen (77 km) and Zwolle (76 km) are worth a visit. In short, Holiday Park Waterpark Terkaple is a beautiful destination for water sports and nature lovers. There are facilities for young and old and an excellent starting point to discover this part of the Netherlands.

At Waterpark Terkaple there are three different types of holiday homes, all of which are located on the water's edge. There is the ground floor 4-pers. water cottage (NL-8542-03). There is a living room with TV and an open kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, each with two single beds, that may or may not be set up for two people. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. There is also a 6-person water cottage on the ground floor (NL-8542-04). This holiday home is suitable for a maximum of four adults and two children under the age of 12. There is a living room with TV and an open kitchen with appliances such as a microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, both with two single beds, that may or may not be set up for two people. The other two beds are located in a small bedroom with a bunk bed, or a 2-pers. bed box. These beds are only suitable for children up to 12 years old. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. Finally there is the spacious 6-pers. watervilla (NL-8542-05). The villa has two floors. On the ground floor, next to the living room with TV and open kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, there is a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds, whether or not in a double arrangement. In some villas there is a second bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. The villa is situated on the waterfront and has its own jetty. All holiday homes are situated on the water's edge and have a (unfenced) garden with a terrace and garden furniture in the form of a lounge set. At both water cottages, the terrace is a (covered) veranda. There is parking space for two cars per holiday home. You can fish from your holiday home on Waterpark Terkaple (permit required).
