Description

LetsRentOnline have advertised and managed properties on this platform since 2007 and are a Premier Host

Privately set within a walled courtyard, this 19th Century (1883) 4 bedroom stone built property has been renovated to a high standard and offers the most traditional Cypriot village holiday that one will find anywhere on the island. The property is situated just 500m from the village centre which now offers a good selection of restaurants and tavernas to suit all tastes, 2 bars (with sky TV) and a shop or 2 for groceries. Famous for its vineyards, the village is surrounded by vines and is renowned for the quality of its grapes. Many of the vines have been in the same family for generations. Two very famous wineries open their doors to visitors, so you can enjoy the winemaker's craft. The village is also home to a donkey sanctuary and a tourist information centre.

Extending to almost 170 square meters, the villa is characterised by stone archways, original staircases, bamboo and wood beamed ceilings, stone floors and grand double wooden doors to most rooms to name just a few. Modern conveniences include fitted kitchen with appliances, chunky leather sofas, Open fireplace, Satellite TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi, en-suite to most bedrooms, 8m x 4m private swimming pool, BBQ, dining tables and chairs for inside and out, air-conditioning and open fire (central heating available for Winter stays).

On entering the driveway, you immediately sense the traditional Cypriot atmosphere within the courtyard. Access to the property is gained by double wooden doors in to a very large and open plan Lounge/Kitchen/Dining area which provides all comforts as well as many seating areas for relaxation and dining.

The Master Bedroom has a large king sized bed with double doors opening out on to the courtyard and swimming pool. It also has an En-Suite with shower over bath. Bedroom 2 next door is the smallest but is still most appealing due to the double sized four poster bed and skylight window. Bedroom 3 is also downstairs and features 2 single sized beds, access out to the courtyard and an En-Suite bathroom. Upstairs is the fourth bedroom with 2 single sized beds and en-suite Shower. Doors open out on to the courtyard and the windows give views to the mountain scenery and distant sea. A quaint and original staircase to the outside of the property leads in and out of this room, to and from the courtyard.

Outside, the courtyard features the swimming pool, parking, a covered seating area, sun loungers and BBQ. The traditional feel is completed by an old water well which sits in the corner. A supply of fresh drinking water is supplied to the property.

A welcome pack is included in the price. A travel cot and highchair can be provided free of charge upon request. Wi-Fi is included in the rental rate.

**The current IPTV system features most UK Sky channels (premium sports, documentaries, movies & music included) as well as many channels in German, Spanish and Russian. It also features a library of Movies and TV Series which is regularly updated.**

'' We all thought the place was lovely and really enjoyed our stay. Location, spot on! The village was quiet but had all we needed - shop, bar and a few local tavernas.

We particularly liked Pizza Box/Imogen’s taverna. The food was simple but delicious and very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed a visit to White River Beach and hired a boat from Latchi Water Sports, which was great fun.

You were very helpful. No problems. Theo made us feel very welcome and spoilt us with home cooked dolmades and red wine! He also kindly let us stay past check-out time as our flight was at night and he had no guests booked in for the following day. This made our last day much more enjoyable. We had a fantastic holiday. It was kicked off to a great start by the taxi driver who gave us a great welcome.''.

'' We had a super stay at Constanteras and felt saddened to leave the beautiful villa. It was an excellent property, well equipped and offering more than expected. The location for us was superb, in a quiet traditional village in Cyprus. There are 3 or 4 tavernas in the village, equally good. Wine tasting venues near to Kathikas, for some lovely local spirits. Yes, the service by Steven at LetsRentOnline.Com was most informative. Both the agent and the owner, easy to contact and friendly. Thank you so much for a fabulous week. Kind regards, Samantha and Michael..''.

'' We´re back to cold and rainy Germany. We had a very great time at Villa Constanteras. The house was exactly what we wanted. The village has it´s original charm with an low number of tourists. This was perfectly for our holidays. The villa is very spacious and for eight persons perfect.

Kathikas is very small and offers everything you need outside tourism hotspots for recreation. The village is well maintained, the people very hospitable and open. The tavernas are very inviting, with special emphasis on the imogens inn.
The price, the food and the performance are excellent and definitely recommendable. Many thanks to Theo, who was very helpful to us. It was a great insight into village life and work. This hospitality gave us a lot of pleasure. His wine and his Zivania are very great.

We have seen a lot of interesting parts of Cyprus. Definitely recommendable are Nicosia, the Caledonia Waterfalls, the wild beach, the Avakas Gorge, Latchi and the Lagoons.
The communication and the service with LetsRentOnline.com and Theo was very well. All requests were processed and answered very quickly. Surely we will rent a villa again especially at the Baleares or Greece. A second visit in Cyprus during the next two till five years is also possible, because it´s a very nice isle and we haven´t seen everything yet.Warmest Regards. Falk ..''.

'' We liked the authenticity of the property which provided all the amenities we required. The location was excellent for us as my husband has difficulty walking so it was very close to all the restaurants.

We tried quite a few restaurants and in particular we liked To Stekki Tou Panai and Yiannis Taverna. Very satisfied with all service. Theo was very helpful and hospitable..''.

Villa Constanteras is situated just 500m (about a five minute walk) from the centre of the village of Kathikas. The village centre offers a good selection of restaurants and tavernas to suit all tastes, two bars (with Sky TV & Wi-Fi) and a good village shop for groceries.

As Kathikas is 600 metres above sea level, it has a good climate in summer a couple of degrees cooler than the coast with very little humidity.

Famous for its vineyards, Kathikas is surrounded by vines and is renowned for the quality of its grapes. Many of the vines have been in the same family for generations. Two very famous wineries open their doors to visitors, so you can enjoy the winemaker's craft.

Kathikas is also home to a donkey sanctuary and a tourist information centre. If you're a bit of an amateur anthropologist, Kathikas is an ideal location in which to observe the traditional Cypriot way of life and to live it yourself.

Kathikas' central location makes it the ideal base from which to explore Polis and Latchi, the Baths of Aphrodite, the Akamas Peninsula and the turtle hatchery at Lara Bay.

From Kathikas you can choose to visit a number of Paphos' best famous beaches.

Coral Bay is a short drive to a fully equipped beach with every type of watersports and diving.

Latchi has a delightful beach, and again a full selection of watersports. You can hire a boat at Latchi to explore the Akamas coastline. Drop anchor when you feel like it and swim or snorkel in the crystal clear blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

If you prefer a beach to yourself, try Lara Beach in the Akamas.

Even in the height of the summer its almost deserted.Kathikas retains and continues to re-instate its old world village character whilst encouraging selected new developments. The village square has a small taverna where you can enjoy a cool drink whilst sitting under the trees.

For fishing fans, the nearest reservoirs are Evretou and Mavrokolympos, whilst the nearest golf course is about ten minutes away at the newly refurbished Tsada golf course now known as Minthis Hills.
