Description

Exceptional air-conditioned vacation rental with private pool in Provence, in the Luberon. Nestled in lush greenery, 4km from Apt, in the Vaucluse, this lovely wooden house, very comfortable, is a real paradise and is just a stone's throw from the beautiful hilltop village of Saignon. This characterful vacation rental offers a large suspended and shaded terrace, a delightful private swimming pool hidden from view, and a summer kitchen with the air of a hut, with magnificent views of the Luberon mountains. The ground, green and planted with trees, is embellished with a relaxing pond which provides a lot of well-being. The interiors offer great open-spaces and a shimmering decoration, with quality furniture chosen with care, and noble materials. The American kitchen overlooks the large living room which opens onto the outside. On the border between the Luberon and the country of Aix, near the Lavender Route, the peaceful village of Saignon is remarkable. Perched on a hill, it overlooks the entire valley and winds its narrow alleys around a very beautiful 12th century Romanesque church. You can easily access a superb panorama of the Luberon Mountains, the ocher cliffs, and on a clear day, you can even see Mont Ventoux, Giant of Provence with a white summit in all seasons, the reliefs of the Alpes de Haute Provence and even the Palais des Papes in Avignon. Many marked hiking trails start from the village through the magnificent and fragrant landscapes. You can also discover these landscapes on horseback, by mountain bike, or even in a hot air balloon from Forcalquier, 40km away. Do not miss the Bonnieux Cedar Forest, the Village of Bories, the Colorado of Rustrel. Provence is a fabulous destination with a very rich heritage: Roman monuments classified in Orange, Vaison or Avignon, famous vineyards of Côtes-du-Rhône like Gigondas or Châteauneuf-du-Pape, medieval villages like Baux de Provence, and heritage listed as Gordes and Roussillon. The land is terraced so not very suitable for young children and the elderly have had trouble walking because it can be dangerous. The terrain is not at all secure.
